Billing & Customer care application for today's ISP/ASP
NetSel is a comprehensive billing, provisioning and customer care software suite for ISPs. It features billing, customer support, e-mail to customers, on-line statement review, RADIUS interface and more. It is built on a scalable, client/server database architecture to meet your needs today and tomorrow.

The user management challenge
User management is the single largest challenge facing Internet Service Providers and private network operators today. The tools traditionally deployed for user management (UNIX shadow password files, text-file based RADIUS servers, general-purpose accounting systems, contact managers, etc.) were not designed for large-scale deployment, and typically result in user information that is dispersed over different systems and extra work to keep these systems in sync. Under these conditions, rapid growth can be devastating to even the best funded operations.

The NetSel™ solution
NetSel™ is a billing and customer care solution that augments, and in some cases replaces the array of ad hoc tools now in use. Built upon SQL database technology, a client/server architecture, and industry-standard hardware, NetSel™ is a scaleable solution that can be used in both small (under 500 subscribers) and large (100,000+ subscribers) managed network environments.

At the heart of NetSel™ is the NetSel™ database. NetSel™ database is a server application that utilizes an SQL-compliant relational database management system (currently Microsoft SQL Server) as its core engine. All other components of NetSel™ interact with SQL Server either though Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) or directly through the SQL Server application programming interface. Since the data within NetSel™ is organized in a standard schema, powerful reporting and external integration is possible.

The NetSel™ client is a secure Windows application that runs on Windows 95/98/2000 or Windows NT. NetSel™ client incorporates TCP/IP client-server technology to give customer service personnel, sales representatives, and system administrators the ability to do their jobs from any location while maintaining the operational integrity of the enterprise.

Advantages of NetSel™

Enables ISP's to manage their operations according to business needs--rather than by the requirements of the technology-by providing comprehensive management of billing, reporting, call tracking, customer care, system monitoring, and user authentication in a single integrated software solution.
Reduces cost by allowing clerical employees to perform billing and subscriber management functions.
Improves staff productivity by providing real-time access to support records, current service status, historical call logs (with complete RADIUS disconnect reasons), billing information, and customer payment history.
Integrates with RadiusNT/X, the industry's best selling RADIUS authentication servers, most NT and Unix based mail servers.
Improves ISP competitiveness by making it easy to create new services types, billing scenarios, reseller relationships, discount schemes and pricing options.
Increases customer satisfaction by providing online status reporting, and consolidated statements for customers.
